Some of my opponents have stated what they would do on Day 1 of their term in office.
Here’s what my Day 1 looks like (so far):
6:30 AM – arrive at City Hall
7:30 AM – deliver coffee/cocoa to the staff at the security checkpoint
8:00 AM – meet with the management of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission
To be discussed –
- We will have no more exploding water mains in or near or around Stern Grove.
- In two weeks we will meet again. You will bring a document to that meeting of no more than 5 pages that details exactly how this will be accomplished, who will be responsible for accomplishing it, and outlining how much you expect it to cost. I will in turn provide you with a timeline for accomplishing this mission. As you might expect, I will expect the mission to be accomplished quickly. Like, yesterday.
8:30 AM – Meet with the Police Chief
I have a lot of things to discuss with the chief. Most of the agenda I will not share with you.
But I will share two agenda items –
- Question – what exactly happened that day when the cops witnessed a break-in at that pot shop and allegedly stood by and watched while the whole thing went down.
- Schedule a meeting 365 days hence. In that meeting we will discuss the state of the police department and policing in general after I have been in office for one year.
11:30 AM – Drive to Sacramento to meet with governor Newsom.
1:00 PM – meeting with the governor
To be discussed –
- his veto of the bill allowing Fentanyl to be provided to the Fentanyl addicts in treatment programs
- a couple of other things 😉
2:00 PM – Drive back to The City. While enroute call SFPUC and inquire about how work is going on my exploding water main report.
4:00 PM – TBD
